24 HOURS OF LE MANS VIRTUAL 2020

With the 88th 24 Hours of Le Mans being postponed until 19-20th September due to the COVID-19 global pandemic and no track action due until July, it was decided to stage an esports event which brought together the world’s best professional drivers and teams with sim racing’s own elite for a unique event, the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual.

VANWALL did setup an E-sport team in cooperation with Burst-Esport. This operation became very successful. The Team finished the qualifying on Pole Position & 2nd overall Position after 24 hours. After the big success of the 2020 virtual 24 hours race of Le Mans the organizer set up a Virtual Le Mans series championship from September 2021 to January 2022. The Le Mans Virtual Series was a global, elite esports series made up of 5 rounds which bring together endurance racing and sim racing’s top teams to compete on some of the world’s most famous racetracks.
